Marcella Milazzotto is an associate professor at the Center of Natural and Human Science of Federal University of ABC in São Paulo/ Brazil. She received a Bachelor of Biological Science degree in 1998 and Master of Science in Genetics in 2001 working on molecular markers of reproductive performance at São Paulo State University. She received her PhD in Biotechnology in 2006 studying genome edition on bovine embryos at University of São Paulo. Her primary area of expertise is the metaboloepigenetics: the relation between the metabolism and epigenetic reprogramming in embryos. She currently works to characterize the relationship between changes in culture systems and their impact on the molecular control of mammalian embryos.
Dr Milazzotto will give a talk entitled: Erasing gametes to write blastocysts: metabolism as the new player in epigenetic reprogramming.
